CBS Sports App: Scores & News App Reviews

Use to love this app. I used it all the time for scores but the last two upgrades have made it useless. It will not open for me.

Best Sports App I ever had, and Ive used over a dozen

There are now video ads that automatically open as you scroll down. Mine opened as I went to check some updates while putting my baby to sleep. When the ad came on at full volume, so did my baby. Thanks. Combine that with the extra time required to struggle to decipher first drafts of articles simply because the authors themselves wont take the time to do a cursory proofreading of their own work and youve got an app thats best avoided. There are alternatives to this app, and at this point, all of them are better than this one.

Its now turned in to CNNs app where you can touch an article 2 spots away from an advertisement and it still takes you to the advertisement page. Thanks sell outs

I love the cbs sports app and have used it over ESPN for a couple years now. They have started having pop out ads that are very annoying. I will no longer use this app because of the ads. When scrolling through headlines all of a sudden the screen turns black and a video comes up that is on FULL volume. I have contacted cbs sports about the ads and they just said you can click out of them by hitting done, but have given no options for muting these ads or stopping the pop-ups. I hate this app now! I will change review when they change this stupidity.

Solid sports app. Used it to replace ESPN. I like having the rosters built into the app. Thanks cbs!

Im generally very pleased with the CBS Sports app, which I have used for at least a year now. Its very easy to track my favorite teams, and I rarely get notifications for news that doesnt interest me. There are a few changes I would like to see to make it even better: -- Better support for tennis scores, especially for viewing results from prior days. -- No direct HTML content in the app, like what is being done for the NBA Power Rankings. The format of the content does not conform nicely on my phones screen. -- The new auto-launch video ads are a bit annoying, though I suppose thats part of the trade-off for free content.

Its only been a couple of weeks and I like it

Great app. But even with new update its been crashing. How bout fixing.

Another sports app splashes annoying ads. This one flashes at the bottom of the screen and obstructs the scores. Way to go CBS. How do we opt out???? Lame. At least TRY to be professional and figure out a better place to put the ad. As an IT professional its embarrassing how app developers push out updates and expect users to be their test team.

I use it alongside other sports-related apps, and its fine. Primarily I use it for push notifications regarding the teams and leagues I follow, though it was particularly cool watching the college mens basketball tournament via streaming.

This app let me watch college football games on my way to a marching band competition!

I invited some people to a group. If they took the link directly, and made up a bracket it worked fine. But if they started at the Home page, where your choices are to start a bracket or start a group, there were problems. Logic would say to pick "start a bracket". Once you do that though, you cant pick a group. You have to go to the group, sign in, and start a new bracket or import your saved bracket. Its sort of backwards, and difficult that way. Looking forward to coverage of The Masters. Will have to review again after that!

Used to be a good app, now it will start playing audio that overrides your music if you happen to have it open. Constantly.

I only use it in March though

Gary, Sam, and Matt are the best. Its good to listen to this podcast every week and listen to people that actually know what they are talking about. Ill take this CBS App over any ESPN App any day.

This is so good I deleted my other sports apps

I was regularly using this app to keep up with the mens march madness games. Then I realized they dont have any information on the womens games. A complete disappointment. Please reconsider the fact that people like to tune into more than just mens sports.
